Boreham House is one of the top wedding venues near Hertfordshire, located just a one-hour drive away in the heart of the Essex countryside.

Boreham House is accessible through a tree-lined entrance, leading you to a beautiful lake, mirroring our 18th Century stately home, where your special day will be held.

We have a variety of rooms available for you to host both your wedding ceremony and wedding reception, including the Glass Pavilion which features a panoramic view of the countryside with floor to ceiling windows and the Henry VIII Suite, with oak flooring and neutral decoration.

All of our rooms can be decorated how you wish, and we allow usage of a combination, allowing guests to move from room to room if required.

We understand that each couple has their own personal requirements and wishes, which is why we allow our weddings to be completely tailored.

All elements of your wedding can be altered, including the menus and decorations.

If you wish to use our services, our specialised chef will work with you to create and plan your menu, and you will receive our front of house team and access to our many luxuries, including crockery, linens, tableware and glassware.

We help you plan your wedding every step of the way.

We also offer the choice to use our stately home on a venue-only hire basis, where we supply you with the venue, and you can take care of the rest.

We have no limitations to which external caterers you use, and you can take advantage of our no-corkage fee.

ACCOMMODATION FOR OUR HERTFORDSHIRE WEDDING VENUE

We believe your wedding day should be a celebration in a place of complete relaxation, which is why we offer accommodation for up to twenty-four guests within our grounds.

All of our rooms are beautifully furnished, and we have a variety of accommodation available, including our Lake Suites, Garden Suite, Cottage, and of course, our Bridal Suite, where the bride and groom retreat after their special day.

If additional guests wish to avoid travelling, we can recommend a range of hotels nearby.

A VARIETY OF WEDDING OPTIONS

Civil Ceremony

Boreham House is a beautiful venue, permitting ceremonies for up to 105 people in the Oak Room of our Main House. Should you need more space or have a larger ceremony planned, Boreham also has an outdoor Glass Pavilion that will accommodate 300 guests.

Church Ceremony

St Andrews Church is a beautiful and welcoming church that provides an intimate wedding environment for couples in need of a venue. The vicar doesn’t mind performing weddings outside their parish, as long it’s nearby the Boreham area.

Same Sex Marriage

Everyone deserves to be able to marry the person that they love and this is something we believe everybody should firmly stand by. Boreham House are one of the venues that recognise same sex marriages, going so far as to allow you to plan your truly magical day.

We always want to make people happy, that’s why we make sure to do everything we can so you can feel comfortable with celebrating with the people you love.

While you may wish to have the ceremony elsewhere, Boreham House can guarantee a wonderful experience with our wedding receptions.

Very pleasant experience, hired the pavilion. Immaculate venue, toilets clean and well kept, the French doors along the sides of the venue maximise lighting & feeling of spaciousness giving a serine view of the well kept grounds. Genuinely beautiful venue. Top class.

Boreham house is simply AMAZING! Went to a friend’s wedding last week Friday, I have got to say this place has a superb scenery and I would most certainly recommend this place for any special event. A spectacular and stunning wedding venue that boasts extravagance, elegance and luxury. This place is surrounded by lovely green acres and a small lake, perfect for wedding shots! The marquee is beautiful and a great place to dine guests and Service is brilliant. The location is great and not too far from London which is very convenient. I would highly recommend for anyone’s special day. I would give this place more then 5* if I could!

This is surrounded by lovely green acres and a small lake, perfect for those wedding shots! The marquee is beautiful and a great place to dine guests. The location is great and not too far from London which was convenient. There are lots of parking spaces available for guests within the venue. Overall, very impressed and would highly recommend for your special day.

When we drove into Boreham House with it’s imposing entrance and the gorgeous lake, we knew this was the venue for us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and our daughter’s wedding was a momentous and memorable day! From the Civil ceremony in the main house to the Hindu ceremony in Henry VIII suite to the evening reception in the Pavilion, we made full use of the House and the gorgeous grounds. The owner Teresa takes a person interest in every detail and called regularly on the day to make sure all was well, despite being away at a family wedding herself! We will remember this day for a very long time,thanks to Teresa and her wonderful team.

Such a beautiful venue with amazing scenery, staff very polite and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Accommodation was very clean and the breakfast had a wide variety for all of us to enjoy. The best thing we found was the way we was made to feel so welcome. Would love the chance to come back again.
